According to some studies, 80 percent of the sun damage that our skin receives, is prior to age 18. Experts urge parents to take action because children are constantly exposed to the sun in outdoor activities.
It is also very important to keep newborns away from solar radiation because it is harmful for their skin. Sunscreens should be applied on infants every day at any season of the year, starting six months of age and not before.
Keep children in the shade, dress your baby in clothing that covers the body, such as comfortable lightweight long pants, long-sleeved shirts, and hats with brims that shade the face and cover the ears, plus constant hydration.
